Roles of Coordinators, RETA Instructors, & Educator Teams are established in pages 138-139 'Roles & Responsibilities'

First steps if approved

• Socorro (LEA) scans and emails award letter to RETA   (Done -- Vern 9/1/09)
• Socorro makes sure BAR is approved (Board Meeting to get Approval of BAR is 9/20/09 -- we had to have the Award Letter)
• RETA begins the process of establishing subcontract with learning.com for 21st century skills assessments
• C21CL coordinator meeting will be scheduled

Next steps following paperwork in place

• C21CL district coordinators will
  • identify your RETA Instructor(s) -- (Socorro: Vern) (Carrizozo: Becky Borowski)
  • identify specific outcomes for customized PD plan with RETA Instructor
  • identify your educator team (a team in your district who will participate in the customized PD plan with RETA Instructor in C21CL events - webinars, conferences, and face to face workshops)
  • schedule/plan for your RETA Instructor to deliver 24 hours (between fall '09 and fall '10) of custom PD to your educator team (keep in mind RETA pays for your RETA Instructor, district pays for team stipend or incentive with district's budget of C21CL funds)
• C21CL coordinators will determine conference dates & locations
  • fall 09 - Nov 7 or Nov 14
  • Spring '10 - Feb 6, 20, or 27
  • Fall '10 conference will be planned in summer '10
• determine RETA Instructor training date
  • September 12, 19, or 26 (Carrizozo: Borowski-votes 19th)
